Securing a peaceful world

UNAU Mulago chapter members
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.

As we break down the barriers of ignorance we begin to realize that everyone has the same questions, fears, and hopes and through that understanding we can step forward into a world of peace. Peace is everything in the world. When we practice acceptance and abstain from trying to impose our point of view, when we accept people, situations, circumstances and events as they occur, we can be at peace, no matter what is going on around us and through our own personal transformation we will transform the world. Let’s unify and inspire the world. As we set ourselves free, we sent our world free.

Let’s begin to teach our children ways of bringing peace since children are the future by encouraging them play games which are cooperative not competitive, because cooperative games bring harmony and an element of peace in them  and so many different ways how peace can be demonstrated.

If there is peace in the country there will be high levels of development hence leading people to enjoy their social, economical and political freedom and let every citizen aim at creating a better world through peace.

In order to realize peace all over the world, UNAU with support from WFUNA and the Swedish government are running a project “Freedom from Violence.”

Freedom from Violence aims at advocating for the inclusion of what most countries find key to development. Peace, security and conflict prevention is a cross-cutting element that once not attained makes it complicated for a country to realize economic, social and political development.

Through advocacy, UNAU and partners are working hard so that peace, security and conflict prevention are among the next Sustainable Development Goals.
