Involving parliamentarians to promote peace inclusion Post 2015 Dev't Agenda

UNAU and Advance Afrika organized an MPs breakfast meeting that focused on the issue of peace and security. CSOs and Youth also participated in the breakfast meeting. With coverage from various media houses, the meeting emphasized  the need to include the issues of peace and security in the post 2015 development agenda with specific focus on Uganda.
As the deadline for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) approaches, momentum is building towards defining a new development agenda to build on the achievements registered by the MDGs and also address the continuing development challenges facing the world today.

Freedom from Violence evaluation and stoke-taking seminar

UNAU’s Baguma Richard and Linda Asaba, Secretary General and Administrator respectively, attended the Freedom from Violence project experience sharing and learning seminar in New York. 

The Seminar was held under the auspices of World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) and aimed at evaluating project success, sharing experience, challenges and paving a way for improvement.
